Art Schmitt ArtSchmitt, has served as DTx’s President and Chief Executive Officer since its inception in 1991. He ensures customer satisfaction and averts risk by balancing the overall demands of company growth with strong engineering fortitude. Art is also responsible for managing the treasury, ensuring capital is available for continued expansion and coordinating finance and accounting efforts. Art’s unique educational background and experience have helped to make DTx profitable each year since inception. He worked for 15 years as a CPA in the state of Florida and has extensive operating experience in the fields of manufacturing and software development. Art believes his strong accounting background gives DTx an advantage over other technical companies traditionally headed by Engineers. Over the past 16 years, Art was instrumental in defining the DTx business model and maintaining DTx’s stable financial position. He played a pivotal role in the successful re-acquisition of DTx from its former parent company in 2002. He negotiated the terms of sale, identified sources of capital, organized the new financial structure and inspired employee participation in the buyback. As a result, DTx gained independence while maintaining its existing workforce and has since experienced record growth in 2006. Art's current focus is on expanding DTx's nationwide Sales & Service Team and establishing an international presence for our customers with worldwide clients. He will lead DTx efforts to further develop a regional presence in key geographic markets, continue to build on engineering and technical support organizations which directly work with DTx customer counterparts, refine DTx business processes, and identify opportunities for improved quality, service and professional growth. |
