The Donald C. Burnham Manufacturing Management Award acknowledges exceptional success in the integration of the infrastructure and processes of manufacturing through innovative use of human, technical and financial resources

Luis Alvarez, Vice President of Operations at DTx Inc, Melbourne, FL has been nominated by the Hoyman Dobson CPA firm for the prestigious Donald C Burnham Manufacturing Management Award presented by the Society of Manufacturing Engineers each year. The Donald C Burnham Award recognizes exceptional success in the integration of the infrastructure and processes of manufacturing through innovative use of human, technical and financial resources. “Luis is a champion of Lean Manufacturing initiatives and activities. He is a great idea generator and continues to challenge the status quo,” said Debbie Goode, Audit Director at Hoyman Dobson.

Luis joined DTx as the Vice President of Operations in July of 2004. He is responsible for implementing DTx’s automated paperless Manufacturing Execution System (MES). He has over 16 years’ experience in product development, supply chain management, quality control, and high volume and high mix manufacturing of commercial, military and customized products. Luis holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering from Florida Institute of Technology and a Master in Business Administration from Centenary College.
