Contec. announced today that Dan Nelson, Executive Vice President of Sales & Marketing has been appointed to Intel’s North American Channel Board of Advisors. Contec is one of the nation's premier Original Design Manufacturers of embedded computing systems and customized display solutions. Contec has been an Intel Partner since 2001 and is currently an Intel Platinum Provider. In August Dan was nominated by a member of the Intel team to join the North American Channel Board of Advisors, which is made up of other Channel peers and meets monthly to presents thoughts and concerns to Intel’s Channel management.

Nelson has demonstrated effective leadership as an accomplished sales and marketing professional with more than 30+ years of experience in the computer industry. He has served in numerous executive capacities, including Executive Vice President of Stinger Medical, Senior Vice President of Comdata Corporation, Vice President of Sales of Commodore Computers, Director of Product Management of Martin Marietta Data Systems and National Account Manager at Burroughs Corporation. Nelson earned a Bachelor Degree in Finance from Drexel University in Philadelphia, PA.
